Julie is an actor, singer, narrator and host.  In recent years, some of acting projects have included a starring run of Annie Get Your Gun with the Aerospace Players in Torrance, and a run of The Cinderella Waltz at the Morgan-Wixson Theatre playing the role of Mother McGee, the bawdy and vivacious fairy godmother to rave reviews.

Her latest short film, Moving Day, won an Award of Recognition from the IndieFEST film awards and is up for consideration in other festivals around the world.  Intrusion, another short film she starred in, played in two film festivals in 2015, winning the audience choice award in Los Angeles.  Other short films can be found in the short film gallery of this site.

Have you ever felt like an idiot or perhaps have a Close Personal Friend who has? Then this is the song for you – Idiot, by Julie Hinton. Check the music video out on YouTube or in the Short Films section of this site! The track is also available on cdbaby, iTunes, Amazon, or wherever else you buy your music.

Julie sings all over town on recordings, soundtracks, and local church services – her current vocal residencies are at St Augustine-by-the-Sea Episcopalian Church in Santa Monica and St. John Chrysostom Catholic Church in Inglewood.  She sang with the Angeles Chorale for many years.  With them, she has sung with Julie Andrews, Barbra Streisand, Barry Manilow and others.  They also record music for various trailer libraries, so you’ve likely heard her voice (the highest one!) on trailers, commercials, television shows and more.
